COMMON QUESTIONS

Partnership & Production FAQ

Key details regarding sampling, lead times, and working with our handloom weavers.

How can I order sample swatches of Eri silk?

You can request sample swatches by initiating an enquiry above or connecting with us via our WhatsApp channel. We provide 1–2 meter sample lengths for hand, drape, and dye testing.

What are your minimum order quantities (MOQs)?

Because handloom weaving operates on manual pit and frame looms, our production is inherently low-volume and artisan-friendly. We accommodate pilot orders starting as low as 15–20 meters for custom weaves.

Can you create custom botanical dye shades?

Yes. In addition to our natural raw ivory, we formulate custom botanical dye baths using local lac resin, turmeric, tea bark, and iron mordants, as well as certified azo-free modern low-impact dyes.

What is the typical production timeline for handloom cloth?

Depending on yarn availability and loom complexity, handloom yardage typically weaves at a rate of 1.5 to 3 meters per weaver per day. Custom capsule orders generally take 3 to 6 weeks from loom dressing to final dispatch.
